Senjuhime

Bonsai Master's Assessment

This Japanese Black Pine (Pinus thunbergii 'Senjuhime') demonstrates exceptional Shohin proportion on a micro scale. Standing at a compact 12cm, it showcases the classic traits sought after by collectors:

• Trunk Structure & Nebari: Outstanding trunk-to-height ratio for a mini tree. The lower trunk exhibits strong natural taper, developing bark texture, and an anchored root flare that sits flush in the pot.

• Canopy & Foliage: True to the 'Senjuhime' dwarf cultivar, the needles are naturally short, stiff, and packed tightly into a dense green cushion with excellent bud symmetry and ramification potential.

• Potting & Health: Housed in a warm, glazed reddish ceramic pot that complements the dark needle tone. The tree shows high vigor, active bud production, and well-rooted stability.
